Latest Update - JAMB Announces 2018 Top Seven Best Candidates 


The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced its top seven best candidates in the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME. Here are the list:

  1. Galadima Israel Zakari
  2. Adekunle Samuel Jesufemi 
  3. Alikah Anthony Oseghale
  4. Ademola Ebenezer Adetola 
  5. Akinyemi Olatunbosun Paul
  6. Ape Terhemba Moses 
  7. Obi-Obuoha Abiamamela

Galadima Israel Zakari, from Biu, in Borno State, as further been crown the best candidate in the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Also records from JAMB indicated that over 1.6 million candidates sat for the 2018 UTME and Zakari who sat for the same examination, in Ogun State, scored 364 to emerge overall best candidate.


Here comes Adekunle Samuel Jesufemi from Ogun State with 358 points, he came second.
Alikah Anthony Oseghale from Edo State with 357 point came third in the 2018 UTME.
The fourth position went to Ademola Ebenezer Adetola from Ogun State who scored 355 point  and the trio of Akinyemi Olatunbosun Paul from Ogun State.

Interestingly, Ape Terhemba Moses from Benue State and Obi-Obuoha Abiamamela from Rivers State had a tie with the same score of 354.

Report had it that Ape Terhemba from Benue with the score of 354 was the best candidate. JAMB’s spokesman, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said in the statement that the news report was untrue and misleading to the public. He equally demanded retraction.
