1. Aliko Dangote

Aliko Dangote GCON (born 10 April 1957) is a Nigerian business magnate, investor, and owner of the Dangote Group, which has interests in commodities in Nigeria and other African countries. As of March 2018, he had an estimated net worth of US$14.1 billion.


Dangote is ranked by Forbes magazine as the 100th-richest person in the world and the richest in Africa, and peaked on the list as the 23rd-richest person in the world in 2014. He surpassed Saudi-Ethiopian billionaire Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi in 2013 by over $2.6 billion to become the world's richest person of African descent.

This Nigerian is currently worth over $2.5 billion. He is declared the richest man in Nigeria, and Africa. He is also ranked the 67th richest Person in the World.

The Dangote Group has Refineries and Manufacturing Plants in Nigeria, and several parts of Africa.  He has aspiration to build one of the first private Oil Refineries that will stop Nigeria, from relying on Oil importation. 

The Refineries, is solely for Crude Oil, Fertilizers, and Petrochemical Materials. The refineries project is worth over $9 billion, and is expected to be completed in 2019. The Group is also a major force in Sugar and Cement Manufacturing in Africa.

His company Globacom is Nigeria's second-largest telecom operator, and has a presence in Ghana and Benin. He owns stakes in the Equitorial Trust Bank and the oil exploration firm Conoil (formerly Consolidated Oil Company). Forbes has estimated his net worth at $5.8 billion as of 2017, which makes him the second-wealthiest Nigerian behind Aliko Dangote, with a net worth of $14.1 billion.

He further his Education for his Master’s degree, at Pace University in New York, United States of America. He is ranked the second richest Person in Nigeria. This due to his investments in the Telecommunications giant, Globacom.

3. Femi Otedola

Femi Otedola (born November 4, 1962) is a Nigerian businessman, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and chairman of Forte Oil PLC, an importer of fuel products. He is also the founder of Zenon Petroleum and Gas Ltd, and the owner of a number of other businesses across shipping, real estate and finance. He has recently invested in power generation as part of the liberalisation of the sector in Nigeria.

According to the magazine, Forbes, Mr Otedola‘s net worth is over $2.3 billion.  This Nigerian had a successful family Business which is a Printing Company in the 1980s, before he ventured into the Oil and Gas Industry.

Mr Otedola has three daughters, who are successful in their own right. One of them is Florence Otedola also known as DJ Cuppy, is very popular in the Music Industry and a Music Producer.

She is the group managing director of The Rose of Sharon Group which consists of The Rose of Sharon Prints & Promotions Limited and Digital Reality Prints Limited and the executive vice-chairman of Famfa Oil Limited. Alakija is ranked by Forbes as the richest woman in Nigeria with an estimated net worth of $2.1 billion As of 2015, she is listed as the second most powerful woman in Africa after Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and the 87th most powerful woman in the world by Forbes.

Her Company called Famfa Oil Limited was founded in 1993, is generating over $10 million daily in profit. She has interests in Real Estate, which is worth over $100 million.


5. Theophilus Danjuma



General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma GCON FSS psc (Rtd) (born 9 December 1938) is a Nigerian soldier, politician, multi-millionaire businessman and philanthropist. He was Nigerian Army Chief of Army Staff from July 1975 to October 1979. He was also Minister of Defence under President Olusegun Obasanjo's administration. Danjuma is chairman of South Atlantic Petroleum (SAPETRO).

Mr Danjuma came from a humble background with having a father as Farmer, and mother who was a Trader. Mr Danjuma studied at Ahmadu Bello Zaria and then went on to Nigerian College of Arts, Science and Technology.

Elumelu holds the Nigerian national honours, the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) and Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR). He was recognised as one of "Africa's 20 Most Powerful People in 2012" by Forbes magazine.

He is deemed to be worth over $1.4 billion. Mr Tony is one of the richest men in Nigeria.
